Has spring arrived in your state? If you're looking to make the most of the new weather and inspire a bit of LOVE, you should give flowering houseplants a try. There's nothing better than seeing a new flower spring to life. If you are tight on outdoor space, never fear, there's some stunning plants that can be grown indoors, that will reward you with an abundance of flowers.
🕊️ 1. Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum)
Houseplant Bloom Type: Creamy white flowers
Spring Tip: You should water these babies when you start to see the leaves wilt. They can be a bit dramatic, so if they suddenly fade overnight, don't fret. Give them a good drink with Grow Concentrate, and they will perk right up!
🌸 2. Oxalis (Purple Shamrock)
Houseplant Bloom Type: Delicate white or light pink flowers
Spring Tip: We love these indoor plants because of their beautiful leaf shapes. They have dainty little blooms which are oh-so cute, and honestly, perfect for Mothers Day. Let them soak up some bright light, keep the soil lightly moist. At night, the leaves will fold up, and unfurl again the next day!
💕 3. Anthurium (Flamingo Flower)
Houseplant Bloom Type: Glossy red, pink or white blooms
Spring Tip: It's always worth trimming off dying or fading blooms. It will encourage new flowers on your Anthurium. We love these houseplants because the flowers can stick around for MONTHS!
🌼 4. African Violet (Saintpaulia)
Houseplant Bloom Type: Purple, pink, white, or blue flowers
Spring Tip: Ok, this one is for the serious plant parent. African Violets can be a little tricky to care for. Keep them in bright, indirect light and water from the bottom to avoid spotting their fuzzy leaves. You should also be careful with what you spray on these leaves - the less you can spray them, the better!
🌿 5. Hoya (Wax Plant)
Houseplant Bloom Type: Star-shaped clusters with a sweet scent
Spring Tip: These are our absolute favorite! The flowers are so interesting; dainty but super interesting. Avoid moving your Hoya once buds appear—they don’t love change.
