Rare Plants Your Collection’s Missing

Rare Plants Your Collection’s Missing

We’ve created a variety of blogs for different types of spaces; now, we want to showcase our top rare plant picks that you can add to your collection. We love them, so hopefully you do too.

Syngonium Fantasy (Syngonium podophyllum)
This is one of our favorite types of Syngoniums, and for good reason. Syngonium Fantasy, with its gorgeous arrowhead-shaped leaves, is a beautiful addition to any collection. Adorned with white splashes that look like they’ve been painted, they’re a rare beauty and, honestly, a gorgeous statement plant. For care, give them bright, indirect light and keep the soil lightly moist, allowing it to dry out just a bit between waterings. They do best with moderate humidity, so a spot in the kitchen or bathroom works well, or you can mist them every few days.

Philodendron Paraiso Variegata
A rare and beautiful Philodendron, it has splashes of light green or cream variegation all over its leaves that give it that wow factor. They love bright indirect light and also have the ability to turn dark green. If they do receive a lot of light, they’re also super fast-growing.

Epipremnum 'Cebu Blue'
A rare type of pothos native to the Philippines, they’re adorned with stunning, silvery-blue leaves that really can catch any eye in a room. They’re super low-maintenance and grow beautifully in hanging baskets.

Alocasia 'Silver Dragon'
All Alocasias are gorgeous, just as they are high maintenance. However, the silver dragon is more tolerant than most and loves warm spots with high humidity. They have thick leaves that look like dragon wings and almost look sculpted.

These are just a few of the many rare plants we love and think would be perfect for any collection. Let us know what you think of this list or if you have any rare plants yourself at hello@wethewild.co
